Apparatus
8Instead of writing b-ḏt mtʿ, the scribe writes b-ḏtʿ. He has passed, by haplography, from the first to the second t.
9-11A previous text is below our text.
14The scribe wrote wrongly: ʾḫhyw instead of ʾḫy-hw.
16w-ls¹n-h is probably another scribe's mistake for w-ls¹n-hw; see Stein 2003 a: 137 and n. 51.

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Rṯd]ʾlw [... ... dedicated to ʾlmqh Ṯhwn],
   2  the Lord of ʾwm, this statue [... ... in praise because]
   3  ʾlmqh, the Lord of ʾwm, granted him his satisfaction in all the favours
   4  he asked from Him; may ʾlmqh continue to grant satisfaction to His servant
   5  in all the favours he will ask from Him; may He save his two lords
   6  ʾls²rḥ Yḥḍb and his brother Yʾzl Byn, the two kings
   7  of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydan, sons of Frʿm Ynhb, the king of Sabaʾ; and
   8  he praised (Him), because He saved the body of His servant Rṯdʾlw from an amount of
   9  maladies and illnesses that afflicted him; and he praised (Him) because saved His servant
  10  from the unsaddling of the horse, that unsaddled him in Ṣnʿw; may ʾlmqh continue
  11  to save His servant from bad affairs and may He grant him
  12  the safety of his vassals and his children in the city S²bmm and may ʾlmqh
  13  grant him the favour and the goodwill of his two lords ʾls²rḥ
  14  Yḥḍb and his brother Yʾzl Byn, the two kings of Sabaʾ
  15  and ḏu-Raydan; may ʾlmqh grant him the safety for him of his hand
  16  and his tongue; may He deliver him from the maleficence and the malice of (any) enemy. By
  17  ʾlmqh, the Lord of ʾwm.
