Apparatus
17Bron notes that the meaning of the sentence would have required the verb ḫryn instead of ḫmr; we could also hypothesize the omission of the infinitive ḫryn depending on ḫmr.

   2  Mlkm and Gḏmt and S¹ʿdm and
   3  ʾlḥrṯ, sons of Bdy and the son of his daughter
   4  Mḥbbt of Yfrʿ, the two of Ḥdʾ,
   5  servants of S²mr Yhrʿs², king of
   6  Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, son of Ys¹rm Yhnʿm,
   7  king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, dedicated
   8  to ʾlmqh Ṯhwn Lord of ʾwm the statue
   9  in bronze that His servant Bdy had promised to Him
  10  for the safety of the persons of his sons Mlkm
  11  and Gḏmt and S¹ʿdm and ʾlḥrṯ
  12  and a son of his son ʾġwym of the family ḏ-
  13  Hlmlm, and may ʾlmqhw continue to
  14  grant him the safety of his person and of the sons of his
  15  sons and the goodwill and the satisfaction of their lord
  16  S²mr, king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, and

The onomastics presents some Arabic traits, for example ʾlḥrṯ is the transcription of al-Ḥāriṯ.
Also brw l-bny-hw presents an Arabic syntax (Ryckmans 1974 a: 500).
