TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  S¹ʿds²ms¹-
   2  m, son of Ml-
   3  km, dedicated to
   4  Tʾlb Ry-
   5  mm, in
   6  the irrigated fields (or: enclosure?) of ʾh-
   7  grn, for the safe-
   8  ty of their property;
   9  and may He continue
  10  to save
  11  them.
Jamme translates mṭwr with "irrigated fields". However, in dedicatory inscriptions the preposition ʿdy usually introduces a name for "temple" or the proper name of the temple itself. In fact, Robin (1982 a: 52) maintains that it is a temple name. The term could also mean a rural (?) temple (lit.: "enclosure").
