TRANSLATIONS

English

  Whbʾwm ibn ʿmydm and S¹ʿdtʾlb
ibn Ḏrḥʾl, the two assistants of Rbbns¹rm
ʾwḥs² descendant of Btʿ, dedicated to ʾlmqh Master of ʾwm
the two statues in bronze, whereby they praised the might of
ʾlmqh, because He saved the person of their lord
Rbbns¹rm ʾwḥs² from the sickness he suffered in
the town of Mrb, and because he granted His servants Whbʾwm
and S¹ʿdtʾlb a safe return from the raiding campaign
which they undertook in the land of Ḥimyar and
Rdmn, when they came back with an enemy casualty and plunder that satisfied
their hearts. And may ʾlmqh continue to grant His two servants
the goodwill and the satisfaction of their lord Rbbns¹rm
ʾwḥs² descendant of Btʿ, and the satisfaction of their tribe
Ḥmln, and may He protect them from the harm and malice of any
  enemy, by ʾlmqh.
