TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  ʾs¹ʿd Yzd and his brother S¹mhyfʿ
   2  Yhḥmd and their sons ʾs¹dm and S¹ʿdm,
   3  of the family Kbr ʾqynm, ʾqwl of the tribe
   4  Bklm, the fourth of the town S²bmm, community of
   5  the mountain ʾlw, mqtt of Ns²ʾkrb Yʾmn Yhrḥb,
   6  king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, son of ʾls²rḥ
   7  Yḥḍb and Yʾzl Byn, the two kings of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān,
   8  dedicated to ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, this
   9  statue in bronze, which they gave to Him as tithe from the watered crops and from
  10  the not watered crops which they have reaped from all the valleys and the fields and the lands
  11  irrigated by canals, and all the settlement of their house, the house of the family Kbr ʾqynm,
  12  in the sixth year of Wddʾl, son of ʾbkrb, of
  13  Kbr ʾḪll, and in the third year of Ns²ʾkrb, son
  14  of Mʿdkrb, of Ḥḏmt, and may
  15  ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, continue to grant His vassals
  16  ʾs¹ʿd Yzd and his brother S¹mhyfʿʿ Yhḥmd
  17  and their sons ʾs¹dm and S¹ʿdm, of the family
  18  Kbr ʾqynm, crops for the harvests of spring, autumn,
  19  summer and winter season, and abundance of crops
  20  and harvests from all the lands and the valleys and the lands irrigated by canals and
  21  the fields of their house, the house of Kbr ʾqynm,
  22  which will satisfy their hearts, and may
  23  ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, grant them the goodwill and the satisfaction of their lord
  24  Ns²ʾkrb Yʾmn Yhrḥb, king of Sabaʾ
  25  and ḏu-Raydān, and soundness of faculties and material resources, and
  26  may He deliver them from evil and mischief and the malice
  27  and the maleficence and the calumny and the calamity and the envy of any enemy, the one
  28  they are aware of, and the one they are not aware of. By
  29  ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm.
