1 The clan ʾmrm and the clan ʿṯtr 2 confessed and did penance to Ḥlfn 3 because they did not duly perform for Him his 4 hunt in the (month) ḏ-Mwṣbm, when they had journeyed 5 to Yṯl during the war of Ḥaḍramawt, but 6 instead they made the pilgrimage of ḏ-S¹mwy at Yṯl and 7 postponed the hunt until the month ḏ-ʿṯtr; 8 therefore He did not protect them, but made 9 their watercourses to flow in spring and autumn 10 with too much or too little water; 11 so let them beware of committing the like 12 again; and as for Ḥlfn, may he reward 13 them with the reward of being favourable, for the 14 confession; at the time of ḏ-Mḫẓdm, in the first (period). 15 And this confession took place by 16 command of Ḥlfn. |

1 Die Gemeinde der Amirum und die Gemeinde des ʿAthtar 2 haben (öffentlich) bekannt und Buße geleistet dem Halfan, 3 weil sie ihm nicht erfüllt haben den regelmäßigen (Besuch) 4 bei ihm im Monat Dhu-Mausabim, als sie aufbrachen 5 nach Yathull während des Krieges gegen Hadramutum 6 und die Pilgerfahrt machten zu Dhu-Samawiy in Yathull und 7 den regelmäßigen (Besuch) aufschoben bis zum (Monat) Dhu-ʿAthtar. 8 Und er beschützte sie nicht und ließ 9 ihre Kanäle im Frühjahr und Herbst 10 weder mit wenig noch mit viel Wasser fließen. 11 Und sie mögen sich in acht nehmen vor (etwas) gleich 12 diesem weitere Male. | Notes | When the inscriptions of the temple were recorded by Halévy, they were in situ. They disappeared after his visit. At the time of Haram 9 the temple was consecrated to Mtbnṭyn and called Hdnn, at the time of Haram 10 it was consecrated to Ḥlfn and called ʾrṯt. |
