6 ḏwlm ḏ-ʾl kyn ṭh—
7 rm w-b-ḏt bhʾ mḥr—

1 Ḥllm, son of Dhyt, Hbs²- 2 nyn confessed and did penance 3 to his Lord ḏ-S¹mwy Master of 4 Ġrw, because he entered 5 the temple and on his reins (he wore) 6 a belt which was not clean, 7 and because he entered the temple 8 and he touched a lustful (?) woman. |
| 8 | The root WDQ means "to ruin, to fall down". However, the editors propose to translate the word mhwdq as "ġalimat" ("lustful") referred to the woman, on the basis of a comparison found in the Lisān al-ʿArab, where the word refers to female animals desirous to couple. |
