GENERAL NOTES

At the time of Bron's publication the stone was reemployed in a wall.
Few textual clues indicate that we likely deal with a fragmentary legal text.
Thanks to A. Multhoff for the bibliographical information.

TEXT

   1  [w-ʾl] b-ʿly M(s²k)mm w-ʾḫ(y)-(hmw w)-[... ...]
   2  (bn) ẓhrn ḏ-b-hw tʿlm Ms²kmm[ ... ...]—
3  bʾn ʾw ḏ-bn-hmw ẓhr kwn mlʾ[... ...]
   4  (b)-(h)w ẓhr qdm wrḫ-hw w-rs²w-hw wrḫ w[... ... ... ...]—
   5  (y)-hw w-b(ny)-hmw l-bny Wdm (kl blṭ) mlʾ w-(ʾ)[... ...]

Apparatus
Bron reasonably supposes that the text is incomplete at the beginning.
1The text between brackets at the beginning is now lost.
4Bron integrates ʿ[ṯtr but the last letter is a w
5Bron integrates w-[rbḥ, but the aleph is clearly visible on the stone.

The translation "le mois de ʿA[ṯtar" is based on an incorrect reading.
