Müller thinks that the inscription is Awsanitic for the dedication to Blw; but, since it comes from Ḥalazum, we prefer to consider it as Marginal Qatabanic. |

1 ʿhlm descendant of Bʿgm, Ḫtynm and Hbʾ, qyl of the tribe ḏ-Ḥlzwm and Tlgg and 2 their settlers dedicated to Blw ḏ-Ḥdṯm, to Mwtr, to ḏt Ġḍrn and the gods of the temple 3 Ḥdṯm in Ḥlzwm, in respect of what he asked them for; because Blw and His gods saved ʿlhm in the days 4 in which ʿhlm was the priest for Blw and because He granted the autumn harvest and the spring harvest during the two years 5 of ʿhlm, untill he entirely completed his office, untill the price of dates and of the cereals was set in that time: 6 for the dates twenty five in s¹lʿt, for the cereals twenty two, regarding the oat cereals 7 [... ...] |
