GENERAL NOTES

See the text RES 3550=CSAI I, 21, where the king himself Ydʿʾb Ḏbyn commemorates the construction
of the pass of Mblqt, the temple of Wdm and ʾṯrt and the king's residence.

   2  S²hr mlk Qtbn tqdm w-s¹hlk kl ʿs²q w-wzl w-ṣll
   3  mnqln Mblqt w-kl mhlk w-ḥdṯn byt Wdm w-ʾṯrt
   4  w-mḫtn mlkn b-Qly b-tḥrg mrʾ-s¹ Ydʿʾb

4mḫtn too is probably a form fʿln.

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  ʾws¹ʿm, son of Yṣrʿm, of the family Mdhm, servant of Ydʿʾb Ḏbyn, son
   2  of S²hr, king of Qatabān, directed and realized all the cutting (of stones) and the smoothing and the paving
   3  of the pass of Mablaqa and the whole realization and consecration of the temple of Wdm and ʾṯrt
   4  and of the king's shelter in Qly, at the command of his Lord Ydʿʾb.
