Textual typology | Dedicatory text |
The date of the text is hypothetical. The palaeography is similar to the inscription Atlal. |
2 | The reading of Ḍrn is not sure; the first letter seems ṣ or ẓ. This difficulty in the lineage name's reading has serious consequences for the origin of the statue. |
3 | The reading of the divine epithet is not sure, Agostini reads ḏ-(ʾw)rtm, but perhaps a reading ḏ-ʿwrtm seems more probable. The epithet is unknown. |
3-4 | The reading is hypothetical; Agostini: b-[M]rtʿm. |
4 | After ṣlm the name of the material is determinated, it is better to integrate ḏhbn not ḏhbm (Agostini). |
5-6 | See FB-Ḥawkam 2: b-kl ḏtm b-yktrb-s¹ w-s¹tʿn. |
13 | The reading of Agostini: (ẓ)r[b] is here accepted, but it is not sure at all. |

1 Ḏḫrm, son of Mʿd- 2 krb, of the family (Ḍ)rn, dedicated 3 to ʿm ḏ-ʿwrtm in 4 Rtʿmm the statue of bronze 5 because Ḏḫrm requested the help and asked 6 to ʿm for his son 7 Rgbm. And then ʿm saved 8 Rgbm from the illness 9 (that was) upon him. Ḏḫrm committed 10 to ʿm himself, 11 his faculty, his son Rgbm, 12 all their children, 13 their properties, their land property (?), 14 what is to them; by ʿm and by ʾnby. |
