GENERAL NOTES

Halévy's copy.
Different dates have been proposed for the text, based on the mention of the king Ḥfnm Ṣdq (Wissmann: 405 BC; Pirenne: style E3, mid-2nd century BC). On the topic, see Avanzini 1995: 50-52.

CULTURAL NOTES

This text contains one of the few references to the goddess ʾṯrt in the Minaic corpus.
The context is fragmentary, but it is clear that two priests are involved. Probably, as is the case in other Minaic texts, the king is wielding the royal prerogative of assigning priests to the god's temple.
