TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Wtrm Yrtʿ ibn Maʿāhir and ḏ-Ḫwln qyl of Rdmn and ḏ-Ḫwln dug up, built
   2  and completed the whole retention wall, constructions, channels, openings and diversion mole of the dam for
   3  the well-being of his valley Ḥrrm, by ʿṯtr S²rqn, ʿm ḏ-Mbrqm Master of S¹lym and Lmmm,
   4  ʿm ḏ-Rymtm Master of the rock of Nwʿn and of the oratory of Hrn, ḏt Ẓhrn and
   5  his solar deity, and by the help and the command of their lord ʿmdn Yhqbḍ king of Sabaʾ and
   6  ḏu-Raydān, and by the power and the mobilization of the tribes of which the banū Mʿhr and ḏ-Ḫwln are the yqlnn.
According to Robin, the term ḥrt means here a different type of dam than in MAFRAY-dhū-Ḥadīd 2, MAFRAY-al-Maktūba 1 and MAFRAY-Ḥisāya 1.

   3   Ḥarīrum , avec ʿAthtar l'Oriental, ʿAmm dhu-Mbrqm maÎtre de Slym et de Lmmm
   4  ʿAmm dhu-Rymtm maÎtre du rocher de Nwʿn et de l'oratoire de Hirrān, dhāt Ẓaharān et
   5  sa divinité protectrice, avec l'aide et l'autorité de son seigneur ʿAmdān Yuhaqbiḍ roi de Sabaʾ et de
