CULTURAL NOTES

This king has to be identified with Ḥujr son of ʿAmrum named by the Arabic tradition Ākil al-Murār. He was appointed as governor of Maʿadd by the Ḥimyarite king Ḥs³n Yhʾmn son of ʾbkrb ʾs¹ʿd.
