   1  Nmrn Yhḥmd w-Ns²ʾkrb Ys²ʿr bny S¹ʿdn ʾwkn
   2  bnw Ddn qnyw w-ʾtm w-s¹tqḍn w-s²ʾm kl ġlt-hmw
   3  ḏ-S¹wt b-mqm ʿṯtr S²rqn w-ʾlmqh bʿl ʾwm w-Tʾlb
   4  Rymm bʿl Trʿt w-Ḫḍʿtn w-Mrbḍn w-b-mqymt
   5  ʾmrʾ-hmw bny Hmdn w-ws²ʿn s²ʿb-hmw ḏ-hgrn ʾ—
   6  knṭ w-rṯdw ġlt-hmw ḏ-S¹wt bn nkym w-mhbʾ—
   7  s¹m ʿṯtr S²rqn w-ʾlmqhw Ṯhwn w-Tʾlb Rymm

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Nmrn Yhḥmd and Ns²ʾkrb Ys²ʿr sons of S¹ʿdn ʾwkn
   2  of the banū Ddn acquired and obtained the property rights and transacted and purchased all their crops
   3  of ḏ-S¹wt, by the power of ʿṯtr S²rqn and ʾlmqh, Lord of ʾwm and Tʾlb
   4  Rymm Lord of Trʿt and Ḫḍʿtn and Mrbḍn, and by the power of
   5  their lords the banū Hamdān and the favour of their tribe of the city of
   6  ʾknṭ, and they committed their crops of ḏ-S¹wt from the one who will damage and harm (them)
   7  to ʿṯtr S²rqn and ʾlmqh Master of ʾwm and Tʾlb Rymm.

CULTURAL NOTES

It is interesting that in the text both gods of the plateau and Almaqah, the Lord of Awām in Marib, are quoted.
