CULTURAL NOTES

This is a basic document of the former splendour of the kingdom of Awsan. With its archaic palaeographic style it demonstrates that perhaps the first south Arabian king to take the title of mukarrib was a king of Awsan, and it confirms how mighty this kingdom was at the beginning of the first millennium BC.
