TEXT

   1  [... ... ]bn ḏ-ngw b-ṣlwth byth ʿṯtr ḏ-Qbḍ b-Qrnw w-mḥyrth-(s¹)[ ... ...]
   2  [... ...]q w-ʿṯtr Yhr[q w-K](hln)( )(Nbṭ)ʿṯtr w-kl ʾlʾlt Mʿnm w-Y[ṯl ... ...]

Apparatus
According to B-M 23, there is an illegible line above l.1.
2... ḏ-Yhr]q w-ʿṯtr Yhr ....... (hl)n (nb) b-ʿṯtr w-kl ʾlʾlt Mʿnm w-Y[ṯl (RES and Garbini's reading).
]q w-ʿṯtr Yhrq w-tḥgn nbṭ ʿṯtr w-kl ʾlʾlt Mʿnm w-Y[ (B-M 23).
A restoration of Nbṭʿṯtr, whose cult is known in Baraqish, at the middle of the line is plausible, as it combines both previous readings. The restoration of the preceding word might then be Khln (Rossi 2012; cf. M 227).

CULTURAL NOTES

A new study of M 253, comparing the previous readings of the text, reveals a further attestation of the divine epithet Nbṭʿṯtr for the god Khln (cf. Y.92.B.A 28 and M 227).
