Apparatus

4Al-Salami reads ḫs¹s¹m, the normal form of the noun, but the reading ḫs³s³m is sure: interesting attestation of the shift s¹ to s³.

2mṯldt is a hapax in ASA. Al-Salami finds a possible comparaison in the Eth. saledā "tablet, slab". The hypothesis by Al-Salami is uncertain, the Eth. saledā is a loanword from Greek selis "column of writing".
