GENERAL NOTES

The inscription can be dated more precisely for the mention of the qayls of Radmān Lḥyʿṯt Yrḫm and his father Whbʾl Yḥz (Robin and Bāfaqīh 1981).

   1  Lḥyʿṯt Yrḫm bn Whbʾl Yḥz bn Mʿh—
   2  r w-ḏ-Ḫwln qyl Rdmn w-Ḫwln bqr w-s¹qs²b
   3  mʾtwn w-nqbn l-ms¹qy s¹r-hw Rmḍw |

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Lḥyʿṯt Yrḫm son of Whbʾl Yḥz he of Mʿh-
   2  r and ḏ-Ḫwln qyl of Rdmn and Ḫwln dug and built
   3  the water conducts and the channels for the irrigation of his valley Rmḍw.
