1 Frʿkrb ḏ-Ḏrḥn, son of S²hr, qyn, Priest of ʿmm (or, great Priest) - during his priesthood - 2 Deliverer of the oracular decision of ʿm from Mrqdm, Collector of lambs (for the sacrifice) according to the oracular decision of ʿm and of Ḥwkm, when 3 he delivered the ʿm oracular decision from Nʿḍ and Ḥwkm oracular decision from Qly, in charge of offerings in 4 the temenos of Qlbn and in charge of offerings of the holy place in Bnʾ - he dedicated to Wrḫ and Ḥrmn 5 a stone slab, as he had asked (both) of Them. He has committed to Wrḫ and Ḥrmn his life 6 his faculties and his sons [... ...] and (ʾ)nmrm and[... ...]; 7 (by) ʿṯtr and by ʿm and by ʾnby and by ḏt Ṣntm [... ...] 8 and by Ydʿʾb Ḏbyn and his son S²hrm [... ...] |
| 1-4 | In my interpretation, as in Robin’s, before the dedication verb there is the list of both the titles of Frʿkrb and of some of his priestly functions. |
| 2 | Robins’ interpretation of s¹ṭd ṭly (which also occurs in HI 3, a fragmentary text from Hajar ibn Ḥumayd): “préposé à l’onction” is quite interesting; however, in Sabaic ṭly is “lamb”, which seems to fit this context quite well. It is another title of the prince linked to the oracle of the god which was sanctioned by animal sacrifices. |

CULTURAL NOTES
The dedicator is a prince of the royal family who bears titles similar to the king’s.
In this case, similarly to many other dedicatory inscriptions, the most striking aspects are the complexity of the religious roles performed by the author and the large number of gods and temples involved in the rites.
