Apparatus
7Miswara is nowadays the name of the small plain at the feet of jabal al-ʿAdan.
9ʿmydʿ is the fourth, newly attested, eponym clan of the confederation of S¹mʿy (Bron).

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  S¹ʿdm son of Rs¹mm descendant of
   2  of Mgdm and Mrn, servant of the family
   3  S¹ḫymm, dedicated to
   4  Tʾlb in the temple ʿdf, according to the fact
   5  that he had implored Him to make rain on
   6  their lands and their vineyards
   7  of Ms¹wrtm, in the fall
   8  of the year of Rbm son of
   9  Hwfʿṯt of the family ʿmydʿ, and
  10  so that He continues to grant them
  11  success, and for their prosperity.
