4-5For the word mmwn Pirenne in CIAS suggests "aiguière" connecting it to mw "water". However, in Beeston et al. 1982 mmw is listed as a separate entry and translated generically as "votive object". According to Jamme, wmmwn is instead an adjective of ṣlmn (he translates "approved" on the basis of Ar. wammaʾa "to make a sign to someone").
