CULTURAL NOTES

The mention of ʿṯtr S²rqn, never attested in the Nashshānite documentation of the Minaean period, suggests to date back the inscription to the Madhabaean period (Avanzini 1995). However, this could be only a matter of discontinuity of the documentation, as this god is attested in Maʿīn's pantheon of period B, e.g. in the inscriptions from Baraqish.
