CULTURAL NOTES

The author of the inscription is the administrator of the Dathina, which implies that the Haṣbaḥites and their tribe of Maḍḥī have authority on this territory (cf. Robin 2005-2006: 47).
This is perhaps one of the oldest monotheistic inscriptions attested in South Arabia. Its author is the father of the subject who commissioned the text Ag 2, which is dated to 388 Maḍḥī and has also a monotheistic character.
