GENERAL NOTES

Line 1. This is shorter than the others because it has been fitted into the space left by the last line of U 008, which must therefore be earlier U 004.
Line 3. The placing of the demonstrative ḏh after ḏġbt, rather than immediately after h-ẓll is bizarre. It is at present unique and may have been an error (see Macdonald).

NotesFound in Al-ʿUḏayb (Ǧabal ʿIkmah). The inscription is carved amongst a mass of others on one side of the huge rock, which Stiehl called ‘Block A’. It is below U 003 and 008 and above U 005 and 009.
