TEXT

   1  bly šlm mṭ(n)w pršʾ (br) rkʿn glʿd

Apparatus
1The third letter in mṭ{n}w was read as a r by S. al-Theeb but it is definitely either a n, a b, or possibly a ‘. What follows pršʾ br is not clear. S. al-Theeb reads pršʾ {br} m{s}lm l-ʿ{lm} but the traces of letters on the photograph do not allow such a reading. The reading given above is very tentative.

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Yeah ! May Mṭ{n}w the horseman {son of Rkʿd glʿd}
