Notes on support and decorationsFragment of limestone slab with male face in low relief. The face is quite circular, with curly hair schematically realized, small eyes (without eyebrows), thin nose, full lips, with drooping moustaches. Two snakes, intertwined beneath the neck, encircle this face. The relief is rather flat.

CULTURAL NOTES

The iconography and style of this face is referable to the Himyarite period, especially for the realization of hair and moustaches. Cf. Antonini de Maigret 2012: 154, fig. 176 and fig. 177 (colour plates).
