TRANSLATIONS

English

1  As for the one who killed him and
   2  his father, may
   3  ʿṯtr S²rqn
   4  (make) identify him.
1-2Robin: the evident reading is "phaser", but like alternative is possible to use an arabic verb ʾbbʾ - "encroach, attempt"; using of this parallel, the translation must be: "quant a celui qui l'a tué ou a porté la main sur lui".
4The suffix pronoun -h, morphologically feminine, could be referred to the subject expressed by ḏ, or have a neuter meaning: "this" (Stein 2003 a: 137).
