TRANSLATIONS

English

1  ʾbʿm son of Yʿll, servant
2  of the banū ʾṯkyn, dedicated
3  to S¹mʿ, bull of the rural territories (?),
4  this inscription, as He ordered
5  him in His oracle, for their
6  safety and the safety of their
   7  land, their crops
8  and their possessions; and so that He should
   9  increase for them His
  10  benevolence and good
  11  crops; by S¹mʿ.
The bull could be the object of the dedication followed by his PN, rather than an apposition of the divinity (as considered by Ryckmans). In this case, a conjunction should be missing, and "inscription" could be considered as the second object of the dedication.
