Notes on support and decorations | Slab, probably reemployed as a funerary stela, decorated with architectural motifs on two contiguous faces. On the frontal face three central false windows between two lateral panels. The panels are composed of two superimposed false windows, separated by three squared dentils and three parallel horizontal grooves. The two elements resting on the lateral false windows are in the shape of sand-glass, with two open horns; according to Jamme they represent stylized bull's heads, but they can be a stylized representation of funerary vessels, typical of this category of stelae, designed as nfs¹. Low relief. |
