1 Shuraḥbiʾīl Yakkuf et ses deux fils Abīshamar Nawf et Luḥayʿat Yanuf 2 rois de Sabaʾ, dhu-Raydān, Ḥaḍramawt, Yamnat et leurs Arabes du Haut-Pays 3 et du Littoral ont enregistré dans cette inscription, lorsqu'ils menèrent l'expédition de Khaṭṭān 4 en l'an 584. 5 Et ils leur menèrent la guerre avec une armée ... ..., et ils les capturèrent 6 tous avec dépouilles et prisonniers. Ensuite, ils se dirigèrent contre Iyādhum [..] Ṭayyān. 7 ... ... 8 Ensuite, ils attendirent l'aube et ... ... la vallée de Maʾsa- 9 lum où ils restèrent pour deux mois ... ... et ils en tuèrent 10 parmi eux vingt en carnage ... ... mille 11 chameaux et vingt chevaux qu'ils avaient capturés. Ensuite, ils attendirent l'aube et affrontèrent ʿAmrum fils d'Aswadān roi de Ta- 12 nūkh et son armée ... ... et le chassèrent et en tuèrent parmi son armée quatre-vingts en carnage, 13 trois cents prisonniers, cent cavaliers, soixante soldats, trente prisonniers et quatre cents cha- 14 meaux provenant de ʿAbdqays ; et depuis Gaww, ʿAmrum fils d'Aswadān 15 monta avec vingt cavaliers qui étaient avec lui, mais (les Ḥimyarites) leur envoyèrent 16 des troupes de pilleurs et des cavaliers jusqu'à ce que leurs hommes les rejoignent [... ...] |
