TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Ynʿm ʾḏrḥ and his sons ʾbkrb
   2  and Kbrm, of the families ḏ-Ġymn and ḏ-Nʾs¹m,
   3  ʾqwl of the tribe Ġymn, dedicated to ʾlmqh
   4  Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, the statue, as
   5  ʾlmqh ordered them in His oracle, so that ʾlmqh should grant them
   6  prosperity and safety and good luck
   7  which will satisfy their hearts, and so that ʾlmqh should grant
   8  their vassals, the family Ġymn and ḏ-Nʾs¹m, the satisfaction
   9  and the goodwill of their two lords S¹ʿds²ms¹m ʾs¹rʿ and
  10  his son Mrṯdm Yhḥmd, kings of Sabaʾ and
  11  ḏu-Raydān, sons of ʾls²rḥ Yḥḍb, king of Sabaʾ
  12  and ḏu-Raydān, and may ʾlmqh continue to fulfill them
  13  and grant them all the favours they may request
  14  from Him, and may ʾlmqh deliver them from any evil
  15  and mischief and from all the maleficence and the malice of
  16  any enemy, the one far and near, and this dedication was (made)
  17  for what has been and will be favourable to Ynʿm and
  18  his sons ʾbkrb and Kbrm, of the families ḏ-Ġymn
  19  and ḏ-Nʾs¹m and their ql and their tribe Ġymn;
  20  by ʿṯtr and Hwbs¹ and ʾlmqh, and by ḏt
  21  Ḥmym and by ḏt Bʿdnm and by the solar deity of the king
  22  Tnf, and by their patron Ḥgrm Qḥmm Lord of
  23  the two citadels (or: two mountains) Tnʿ and Lms¹, and they committed their dedication
  24  to ʿṯtr S²rqn and ʾlmqh Lord of ʾwm.
