5thmm as a toponym (Jamme; Stein 2003 a: 120); Robin and Beeston consider thmm as a common noun although giving different meanings to the word.

   1  S¹ydm ʾrs³l ibn Maʿāhir and ḏ-Ḫwln,
   2  son of Whbʾl ʿmdn, Wtrm Yrtʿ
   3  and Lḥyʿt Bryn, ʾqwl of Rdmn and ḏ-Ḫ-
   4  wln, dedicated to their solar deity ʿlyt, when he stood out in Thmm for
   5  the killing of (his) first panther.
"when he has irrigated the crop in Thmm during the conflict of the first dotted-clouds season" (Jamme); "lorsqu'il a triomphé (?) de l'épreuve (?) en tuant (son) premier léopard" (Robin); Beeston (1988: 11-13) interprets ʿfr as a methatesis of frʿ "offer firstfruits" and thmm as "with promptitude, promptly".
