TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  ʿlhn Nhfn, king of Sabaʾ, son of
   2  Yrm ʾymn, king of Sabaʾ, dedicated
   3  to ʿṯtr S²rqn at Nṭʿtn this
   4  two statues in praise because [He granted]
   5  during the rainy season of spring abundant irrigation
   6  in Mrb and in his two agricultural lands abundant irrigation; and
   7  in praise because ʾḏnt and
   8  its deflector dams and the (rain-watered) fields were protected from all
   9  damage and incident that could damage them
  10  during this irrigation; and in praise because
  11  He irrigated and satiated (with rain) all Rḥbtn and
  12  the two cities and all the realm of ʾlmqh.
  13  And He irrigated that spring season during the month of ḏ-ʾlʾlt
  14  of the year of Mʿdkrb, son of
  15  S¹mhkrb, of the family Fḍḥm, the quarter. And
  16  so that ʿṯtr S²rqn may continue to grant
  17  them abundant irrigation for Mryb
  18  and its valleys and for all the realm of
  19  ʾlmqh. And so that He may humiliate and destroy all
  20  their enemies and their rivals. By ʿṯtr-S²rqn.
