[... ...] 1 [..] S¹ʾdm M[.]fkn and their son 2 ʾbkrb dedicated to ʾlmqh Master of 3 the ibexes of Ṣrwḥ a statue in bronze, 4 because He granted him to claim proprietorial rights over Ṯwbṯwn, 5 son of Mrdm, servant of the banū 6 ḏ-Ḥbb, following the edict and proclamation 7 they ordained and proclaimed for his son 8 ʾbkrb, when ʿbdʿṯtr demanded from him 9 to fulfil the contract (?). And so 10 ʾlmqh granted him to transfer to ʾbkrb 11 the right; and so they praised the might and power of 12 ʾlmqh because He rendered His vassals their 13 right, as He proclaimed to them 14 in His oracle, namely that He would vouchsafe his son the deliverance (from that difficulty) 15 in case he would not avoid from 16 urging Him (with his requests) and seeking (favours) from Him 17 concerning all who could contest (him something). And so his Lord, ʾlmqh, promised him 18 to deliver His vassals from His wrath, 19 and so S²rḥʿṯt and ʾbkrb 20 dedicated to their Lord ʾlmqh 21 a statue for the safety of their person 22 and their cattle. By ʾlmqh and 23 their Solar deity. |
