Location and toponomy | Al-Harûj is a village located 9.5 km north-east of Hakîr and 23.5 km ESE of Dhamâr. North of the village is a 60-m-high hill at the top of which inscriptions are engraved. The coordinates given here are approximately taken at the top of the hill. They do not correspond to the real location of the rock inscriptions. |

General description | Kh. Numan mentions the presence of ten rock panels engraved with inscriptions at the top of the hill north of the village of al-Harûj. These inscriptions mainly show persons’ names. |
Chronology | Two of the inscriptions are dated from an era: Kh-al-Harûj 1 is dated to 264 ḥim., i.e. 154 AD. Kh-al-Harûj 2 is dated to 382 ḥim., i.e. 372 AD. |
