General descriptionThe promontory of ʿĀn Jamal, reaching an altitude of 1298 meters, serves as an excellent vantage point for monitoring movements between Ḥimà and al-Ṣammāʾ. The site features an extraordinary concentration of rock engravings, consisting of approximately 200 petroglyphs and over 550 texts in various languages (Ancient South Arabian, Thamūdic and Arabic).
