General description | The site is located 1.5 km at NW from the village of al-ʿUqla and 16 NE from al-Bayḍā. Extension: 7 ha. The site lays on a land with granite hills plough by valleys. The archaeological remains are thus more visible on the hill slopes and are more concentrated in 4 areas. |

The excavations, which are at the very beginning in this site, have so far been concentrated on one monumental structure (Building A) of which some stone rows are still preserved. In view of the massive technique used it has been hypothesized that it should be a palace. This wall has been erected on a hill slope and it is connected with a slip road (A. Agostini). |
