TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  S¹ʿdm Ys¹kr and Yhʿn Yġnm
   2  and their son Klbm
   3  ʾwkn, of the family S¹ʾrn and Mḥylm,
   4  ʾqwl of the tribe Bklm, one-fourth
   5  of ḏ-Rydt, dedicated to ʾlmqh
   6  Ṯhwn, the Lord of ʾwm, this statue
   7  for their safety and in praise because
   8  He delivered and saved the body of His servant
   9  S¹ʿdm when he came back to the town of Mryb
  10  with the ʾqwl in the battle that was between the
  11  Sabaeans and Lḥyʿṯt, the kbr of ʾqynm.
  12  Might ʾlmqh grant to His servants
  13  S¹ʿdm and Yhʿn and his son Klbm
  14  of the family S¹ʾrn and Mḥylm success,
  15  good luck, the favour and the goodwill of their master
  16  Ḏmrʿly Yhbr and his son Ṯʾrn,
  17  the two kings of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, the sons of Ys¹rm
  18  Yhṣdq, the king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān. Might
  19  ʾlmqh grant to them luxuriant fruits and crops
  20  from all their lands and abundance of spring
  21  and autumn crops. Might He deliver them from the maleficence and
  22  the malice of the enemy. By ʿṯtr, Hwbs¹, ʾlmqh,
  23  by ḏt Ḥmym and by ḏt Bʿdnm.
