   4  ʿm b-rdʾ ʿtr (S²)[r](q)n[ w-]ʿ[m ḏ-Mbrqm w-ʿ]m ḏ-Dwnm w-ʾ—
   5  m ʾltm w-ḏt Bʿd(n) w-ḏt Ẓhrn w-S²ms¹-hmw ʿlyt w-b
   6  rdʾ mr[ʾ]-hmw ʿmdn Byn Yhqbḍ mlk S¹bʾ w-ḏ-Rydn

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Wtrm Yrtʿ and Lḥyʿt Bryn, banū Maʿāhir and ḏ-Ḫwln, qylw
   2  of Rdmn and Ḫwln built, excavated and dug the whole dam, the channels and
   3  the digging which bring up the waters of the torrent ḏ-Lfgn for their valley S¹r-
   4  ʿm; by the help of ʿtr S²rqn, ʿm ḏ-Mbrqm, ʿm ḏ-Dwnm, ʾm
   5  ʾlm, ḏt Bʿdn, ḏt Ẓhrn and their solar deity ʿlyt, and by the
   6  help of their lord ʿmdn Byn Yhqbḍ, king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān.
Beeston et al.(146) attests the use of the verb ṣyḥ, translated with "lay out plantations". On the verb yʿlwn see the note in MAFRAY-ḏī-Ḥadīd 2.
