[... when to him/them] 1 Ḏmrʿly Yhbr and his son Ṯʾrn 2 Yhnʿm, the two kings of Sabaʾ and ḏu Raydan and 3 Ḥaḍramawt [ordered] to move, march and wage war against 4 Ṣdfn and those among Ḥaḍramawt who gave them 5 support; and they moved with three hundred riders 6 and raided up to the town Ṣwʾrn and killed, 7 take captive its residents with a considerable amount of carnage and 8 captives, subsequently the citizens of Ṣwʿrn surrendered; 9 after that they raided ʿqrn and it surrendered 10 and he made them to swear to assist (in future) the kings 11 of Sabaʾ and ḏu Raydan; they hit hard (?) and raided S²bm; 12 Ṣdfn and the citizens of S²bm and two 13 thousand soldiers and three cavalrymen faced them and they did battle 14 against them and defeated those Ṣdfn up to 15 drive them to S²bm and they killed in the battle among them 16 two hundred soldiers in the battle and hundreds of 17 dead; after that they waged war in Yrs² [... ...] |
