| Even if the first sign is not sure, it is plausible to read the name Mrṯdm (see Gl 1228, 9). The second name, Yʿrr is attested in Gl 1233, 1 (CIH 339 bis). |
| The integration is proposed by Solá Solé. |
| For Solá Solé S²ddm is a proper name of an individual, but it is attested in several inscriptions as a part of the family Hmdn (Ryckmans, Jacques 1965: 326). If the restitution Yḥṯt is accurate, ʾrs³l was an epithet , maybe a variant of ʾrs²l, well attested in Ancient South Arabian (Solá Solé 1964: 24). |
| For the restitution of the second half of the line cf. RES 4012, 3. |
| The reading b-ʿm-h (without w) is sure but it is most probably a mistake for b-ʿm-hw. The second half of the line could also be restituted as follows: [ḏ-Rgz w-l wzʾ s¹ʿd ʾd]m-hw. |
| The usual expression is ʿdy ʾrḍ-hmw, while bn ʾrḍ-hmw is rather uncommon (see RES 4138, 14). |
