1 Wafī Adhraḥ ibn Kabsī, Fawlum 2 et Dadān, qayls de la tribu Tanʿim et Tanʿimat, 3 a dédié à Almaqah Thawān, seigneur de Awwām, cette statue 4 de bronze, en reconnaissance de ce que Almaqah, seigneur de 5 Awwām, lui a accordé tous les oracles et bonnes nouvelles qu'Il lui a annoncés 6 lorsque lui a demandé son seigneur Laḥayʿathat Yarkham, roi 7 de Sabaʾ et dhū-Raydān, de se mettre en campagne et de prendre le commandement, lors du pillage qu'ont 8 commis les Abyssins (à l'encontre) de ses vassaux et de son bétail dans Sihām; 9 à la date où il pillèrent ses vassaux et son bétail, 10 Wafī Adhraḥ ibn Kabsī se mit en campagne et avec lui 11 Ḥamalat dhū-Garaf, quelques Nashshānites, quelques gens de Ḥashid, 12 la tribu de Tanʿin, recrues et commandants (?), quelques 13 Arabes et Khawlān Gudādān; Almaqah, seigneur de Awwām, leur a accordé 14 de mener une expédition satisfaisante; et à cette date 15 où (les Abyssins) pillèrent ses vassaux et son bétail, 16 Wafī Adhraḥ ibn Kabsī exerça des représailles sur les approvisionnements des Abyssins 17 dans le wādī Ḥaraḍ avec un chef du nom de Raydat et ils 18 y obtinrent des dépouilles, des prisonniers et un butin qui les satisfirent; 19 Wafī Adhraḥ et sa troupe renvinrent sains et saufs 20 et louèrent le pouvoir et la puissance d'Almaqah, seigneur de Awwām, 21 parce qu'Il l'a protégé dans tous les événements qui sont consignés dans cette dédicace. 22 Puisse Almaqah continuer à lui accorder toutes les faveurs qu'il 23 Lui demandera et qu'Almaqah lui accorde la faveur et la bienveillance 24 de son seigneur Laḥayʿathat Yarkham, roi de Sabaʾ et dhū-Raydān, 25 et qu'Almaqah le protège du maléfice et de la malveillance d'un ennemi 26 proche ou lointain, par Almaqah Thawān, seigneur de Awwām. |
