The inscription comes from the capital of the Ḥaḍramawt kingdom. The text contains signs of linguistic contact, and looks as it was not written in Qataban. We could think of a temple dedicated to a Qatabanic god in Shabwa, for a community living there. Chronologically it is probably of period C. |
