GENERAL NOTES

Bron 1998 a: 67 mentions the inscription Gl 312 (Wissmann 1976 a: 390), that seems to be a mixing of the two lines of our text with another missed line, testifying the name of a king: l.1: Ḥfnm Yṯʿ bn Ḫlkrb mlk Mʿ-; l.2: n bny l-ys¹bḥr bʿ- l.3: gwhty w-zlt ḏn nkrh.

TEXT

   1  (l)-ys¹bḥr Nkrḥ bʿ[l ... ... ṣ]—
   2  lwthy w-zlt ḏn [... ...]

Apparatus
1-2Bron translates: "Que Nakraḥ, seigneur [de ...] choisisse ... les deux façades et l'escalier (?) de ce [... ...].
Jamme 1971: 21 translates line 1: "qu'il craigne Nkrḥ". Jamme is right in believing that there is no obligation to consider the god as the subject of the verb. The normal meaning of ys¹bḥr is "to dig a well".
