1 [Rbʿt] ʾs²wʿ and his son [... ...] 2 descendants of ḏ-S²hr, vassals and counsellors 3 of the king, dedicated to ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, 4 this statue from their booty from the town Ṣwʾrn 5 of the land of Ḥaḍramawt, when they undertook the military expedition and they followed 6 their lord S²ʿrm ʾwtr king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, son of 7 ʿlhn Nhfn, king of Sabaʾ, and because ʾlmqh, Lord of 8 ʾwm, granted to him His protection in the favour His servant Rbʿt 9 sought from Him before that battle, in order that ʾlmqh 10 should grant him to make slaughtering, and ʾlmqh granted to him 11 His protection in that favour and to get four soldiers killed in the battle 12 and the taken booty; may ʾlmqh continue to protect His servant 13 Rbʾt in the favours he will seek from Him, and may ʾlmqh grant to him 14 the goodwill and the satisfaction of his two lords S²ʿrm ʾwtr and his brother 15 Ḥywʿṯtr Yḍʿ kings of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān sons of ʿlhn 16 Nhfn king of Sabaʾ, and may He grant to them [... ...] |
