CULTURAL NOTES
Beeston notes that "the term wtf occurs in a fairly wide range of texts, all of which are designated 'this wtf-document'", in connection with a land in concession. In all these texts [...] the term is an abstract one designating the act whereby such an arrangement was effected. The interest of our present text lies in this, that it shows a transference of the term to the land which was the object of the act" (Beeston 1952: 272).
