3 | The editor has interpreted ʾqtbn as the Qatabanians. It is true that Ṯʿym is a Qatabanian lineage name, but the Müller's suggestion, quoted by the editor, that ʾqtbn would be related to the Qitab tribe seems more credible. |

1 Yḥḍb ʾs¹rʿ and his 2 brothers and his sons, of the family Ṯʿy- 3 m and Mḥgrt, the ʾqtbn, citizens of 4 the town of Rwntn dedicated to their 5 Lord ʾlmqhw, the Lord of S²bʿn, a bronze 6 statue which he had promised Him, when 7 He defended him from the ʿrb in ʿḏqn; and He freed 8 and delivered him from what his enemies 9 threatened; and ʾlmqhw, 10 the Lord of S²bʿn, overcame his enemies for their safety and the safety 11 of his brothers, his sons, his people, his 12 herds; may ʾlmqhw, the Lord of 13 S²bʿn, grant him the favour and the goodwill of their lord S²mr 14 Yhrʿs², the king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydan; 15 at a time when their 16 lord commanded them to govern and levy taxes(?) in the city of 17 Ns²qm, and in Ngrn, for seven 18 years. |
