Apparatus
1Ḏmrʿly is the patronymic of the king Ydʿʾb Ygl, in Ja 2361=CSAI I, 196 and RES 3858=CSAI I, 203, thus giving rise to the integration proposed (also confirmed by the palaeography).

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Ydʿʾb Ygl son of Ḏmrʿly
   2  mukarrib of Qatabān and of the children of ʿm built
   3  and strengthened the dam of Byḥn from founda-
   4  tion to top and expanded Byḥn by means of its wide
   5  expansion and he has committed it to the protection of ʾnby.
