1 From this inscription there is (a distance of) one s²w‒ 2 ḥṭt, equivalent to five cubits, 3 up to the middle of the well; 4 and up to the (two?) inscriptions, 5 the well extends for 60 (cubits?). |
3 | Beeston interprets the word bʾrn as a nominative and the subject of the sentence ("From this inscription, at a distance of .... straight ahead is the well"). On the other hand, the other editors all consider bʾrn as a genitive governed by ws¹ṭ. |
